Teeter EP 960 LTD Inversion Table Review

January 28, 2019 By Spine Vault

Teeter EP 960 LTD Inversion Table Review

Teeter’s leading model, the EP 960 features several improvements over their last model, making it one of the most comfortable inversion tables on the market. The 960 has many of the same features as past inversion tables by Teeter, but it’s obvious that the company paid attention to consumer feedback since many of the design improvements are focused on user comfort and the table’s functionality.

Teeter EP-960 Ltd Inversion Table Review

Overview and Features

Teeter has remained the top inversion table manufacturer in the industry for years. But even their top model can’t compete with Ironman’s 4000 inversion table, which utilizes infrared heat technology that’s said to improve therapy effectiveness, particularly when treating lower and upper back pain.

But the 960 can be used for much more than lower back pain treatment at home. It can also be used for intense inversion table exercises that focus on improving core strength, stretches designed to promote a faster recovery time, and yoga. It is an ideal inversion table for beginners.

Aside from boosting workout effectiveness, most people tend to use inversion tables for the following reasons:

  • Back pain relief
  • Spine decompression
  • Joint pain relief
  • Sciatica pain

Design

Made from heavy-gauge steel, this table consists of two pieces that fold together. With a claim that this table is one of the most comfortable on the market, the table flexes with the user, so you can enjoy reduced pressure on the spine even when the table is not fully inverted. This also allows for improved stretching.

Controlled Inversion

The included max handle is another new feature and one that assists the user during inversion. The handle will allow you to slowly and safely invert and return to an upright position independently. This means you don’t have to rely on a spotter to help you invert during therapy. With the handle, you’ll also be able to do a variety of stretches, easily. This can result in treatment that’s more effective.

The included EZ angle strap will allow you to precisely control the table’s angle using simple arm movements.

This model has been designed to accommodate both the adjustable acupressure nodes and the lumbar bridge accessories sold by Teeter.

Assembly Time

Fortunately, the table arrives eighty-five percent assembled, so the assembly process is very straightforward and easy. You can expect to spend approximately twenty minutes putting this table together.

The table comes with an owner’s manual and an instructional DVD that shows you how to perform a wide range of stretches, in addition to strength training exercises.

Construction Quality

The frame of this Teeter table is made out of a heavy-duty heat-treated steel, with a thick layer of powder coating that’s scratch-resistant.

Ankle System

The table also has a highly rated ankle system that’s perfect or users who normally have trouble reaching their ankles. The table’s extended handle for the ankle locking system is a great solution that makes accessing the ankle supports simple and easy. With other tables, the user is forced to bend over and reach all the way down to their ankles. With the EZ handle the user only has to reach down to their shins.

The ankle supports are considered one of the most comfortable systems on the market. Often, one of the leading reasons people stop using inversion therapy is the uncomfortable ankle locks. Teeter’s innovative design works to evenly distribute the user’s weight around the feet and ankles. This added comfort will lead to more consistent treatment and longer sessions.

User Weight Capacity

The table can accommodate a max user weight of three hundred pounds. The table will also work for users four feet, eight inches tall, up to six feet, six inches. For some, the weight capacity will be too low. These inversion tables feature a higher max user weight.

This is one of the easiest tables to use and it comes equipped with preset inversion angles for twenty, forty, and sixty degrees.  These preset angles will help new inversion therapy users to learn how to control their inversion therapy and the degree of inversion.

Inverting will feel easy, comfortable and smooth.

Tables such as the Innova Fitness ITX9800 offer more preset inversion angles, but research has shown that most inversion therapy users tend to invert at sixty degrees, so the presets on this model should work out fine for most people.

Storage

Most people are unable to accommodate a large, fixed inversion table in their home and many models of fixed inversion tables are massive and weigh in at a couple hundred pounds. This foldable inversion table is a great solution and one that offers comparable stability despite its lightweight, flexible design.

The table is easy to fold up and store when not in use. This space-saving model is perfect for homes that are short on space.

Safety

For most users, safety is one of the major concerns.

Teeter is currently one of the only inversion table manufacturers that have each of their tables undergo third-party testing through Underwriter Labs. UL is an independent testing company that tests each table for manufacturing defects, safety, and quality. Safety features include autolocking hinges, a derattler knob, specialized pivot bearings and a camlock. This results in a table that’s safe, secure, and designed to last for years to come.

Warranty

The manufacturer offers a five-year warranty on the 960.

  • Built-in handle allows for independent inversion
  • Preset inversion angles
